Kalavarahalli Betta
It is also known as Skandhagiri. This place is situated around 75 KM from Bangalore. This place is well known for the Sun rise point and night trek. It is around 10km from Chikkaballapura. On the day of Ram Navami 3rd march 2009 we (group of seven members) left Bangalore around 11.30Pm (Hebbala fly over) . We watched Ramayana Play on the way to Kalavarahalli (The place was Avati). We reached Kalavarahalli at 1.30am. Ramayana Play.. We need to pass through the Chikkaballapura town to Kalavarahalli (As shown in image below) We were equipped with torches and carried some snacks and water. The starting point of trek is Papagni math. There are two routes to reach the top. First one is the easy path which could take around 2 to 3 hours to reach peak and the second one is the most difficult path you should go with guide in this route.
